Jan Balliauw (1959) works as a reporter for the political desk at VRT, Belgium’s TV news. He covered Belgian foreign policy issues and international crises in the former Yugoslavia, 9-11, Afghanistan and Iraq. He is a specialist on the United States of America, and used to be VRT’s Russia correspondent between 1990 and 1993. He recently published the book ‘Brullende muis’ on the Belgian foreign policy.
