Philip Willems (Dendermonde, België, 1977) is a financial editor for Elsevier (since 2006), the biggest opinion weekly in the Netherlands.
He specializes in international business, management issues, and corporate governance. Some of the better-known companies he has in portfolio at this moment are corporates like Philips, ING and Air France-KLM. His favourite types of stories are reconstructions and profiles.
He studied literature at the University of Ghent (Belgium) and journalism at the University of Westminster (London, UK). In the Netherlands, before joining Elsevier he worked for the investment website Neder-iNvest from 2000 to 2003, and for publisher Quote Media (Hachette) from 2003 to 2006. For this company, he contributed to the magazines Safe, Quote, QPF and Quote Finance, and to internet project Quotenet.nl.
