Mark Kranenburg

Mark Kranenburg (1954) works at Dutch daily newspaper NRC Handelsblad. In 1986, Kranenburg successfully applied freedom if information laws to get his hands on the paperwork that surrounds the formation of a new Dutch cabinet, a ground breaking success. He was chief of the parliamentary desk and correspondent in Brussels. In 1996, Kranenburg received the Anne Vondeling award, an annual award for journalists that manage to explain politics in clear and evocative terms to the public.
