Time management & stress reduction

How can journalists benefit from time management and stress reduction?
Is it possible to keep working very long hours without running any health risks? What is the impact of the tense environment journalists have to work in? How to survive in a highly demanding working environment where extreme flexibility and growing number of multitasking skills are needed, while positive feedback often may be lacking? Practical advice helps journalists to manage their time and reduce working pressure.
Marleen Teugels, journalist and lecturer-researcher and Elke Van Hoof professor in the medical psychology (both University College Arteveldehogeschool in Ghent (Belgium)) present a very practical workshop on day-to-day tips and tricks in order to reduce stress maximally and develop a long term survival strategy helping journalists to work in a more efficient way. The tips and tricks are based on the scientific research the Arteveldehogeschool in Ghent has organised on motivation, workload, recuperation, stress and burn-out with Flemish professional journalists in which Teugels and Van Hoof have participated.

Speakers: Elke Van Hoof, Marleen Teugels
The workshop shall be introduced by Yvonne van de Meent.

When? Friday November 21st, 2.00 PM
Where? Erasmushogeschool, Room 3.12

conferentie-1x
